Senior Accountant

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly close process, including journals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with insurance regulatory standards and IFRS.
- Collaborate with actuarial teams and external auditors to support financial audits and compliance reviews.
- Manage VAT, tax submissions, and ensure adherence to all statutory obligations.
- BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential); SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience within the insurance industry (non-negotiable).
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and insurance-specific financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
