Oversee the monthly close process, including journals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with insurance regulatory standards and IFRS.
Collaborate with actuarial teams and external auditors to support financial audits and compliance reviews.
Manage VAT, tax submissions, and ensure adherence to all statutory obligations.
Requirements:
BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential); SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.
Minimum 5 years accounting experience within the insurance industry (non-negotiable).
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and insurance-specific financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
