Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly close process, including journals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with insurance regulatory standards and IFRS.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams and external auditors to support financial audits and compliance reviews.
• Manage VAT, tax submissions, and ensure adherence to all statutory obligations.

Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential); SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience within the insurance industry (non-negotiable).
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and insurance-specific financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
