is essential due to travel requirements between workshop and various client sites.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesWorkshop Duties
Assist in the repair, assembly, and refurbishment of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related mechanical components.
Perform basic machining tasks under supervision, including drilling, tapping, cutting, grinding, and lathe work.
Conduct mechanical stripping, cleaning, and preparation of components for inspection.
Support senior artisans with rebuilds, component fitting, and alignment work.
Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, orderly condition.
Perform general fabrication tasks including measuring, marking, and basic welding assistance where required.
Site Duties
Assist with on-site mechanical maintenance, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Support site teams with pump installations, shaft alignments, coupling checks, and equipment inspections.
Safely operate and handle power tools, lifting equipment, and mobile machinery as per company procedures.
Conduct basic troubleshooting and participate in breakdown repairs under supervision.
Adhere to all site-specific safety and operational requirements.
3. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
N3 Certificate or higher
in Fitting & Turning (Mechanical qualification essential).
Valid Driver's License
(Code 8/B or higher).
3-5 years proven experience
in workshop and site-based mechanical work.
Good understanding of mechanical tools, measuring equipment, and workshop machinery.
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and instructions.
Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces, heights, and demanding environments.
Strong safety awareness and understanding of OHS practices.
Willingness to work overtime, standby, or travel to sites when required.
