Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable
Vehicle Mechanic
to join our security company's operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of tactical and patrol vehicles to ensure maximum performance and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues Perform brake, engine, suspension, and transmission repairs Ensure all vehicles comply with road safety regulations Maintain service logs and inspection records Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed Advise management on vehicle replacement and part procurement
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent Valid driver's license (Code 8 or higher) Trade Test Certificate or equivalent qualification in Motor Mechanics Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with security or fleet vehicles Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Own tools will be an advantage Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems and electronics Familiarity with fleet management software
