Our client has an EE opportunity available for a Security Officer based in Pretoria.

Requirements:

NQF level 4 or Grade 12 qualification and a Grade C certification and registered with PSIRA and certified.
Clear criminal record.
Strong surveillance and observation skills.
Fluent communication skills.
The ability to stay calm under pressure.
The ability to exercise good judgement.
Knowledge of public safety, security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all persons entering the property are authorized to do so.
Record and report all unusual incidents and report immediately to the facilities manager if necessary.
Report all criminal incidents to the manager.
Patrol the building interior and exterior at regular intervals.
Ensure that all equipment that is required for security duties is in good working order.
Ensure that all doors and windows are secured, and any abnormalities are recorded and reported.
Monitor and respond to technical security alarms.
Maintain good working relations with local law enforcement agencies.
Ensure that security equipment is safeguarded.
Ensure that security standards and procedures are adhered to.
