Job Description

Well established organisation on the East Rand seeks a Security Manager who is available immediately to work on contract
Minimum Requirements

• Immediately available to work on contract ie not currently working
• Qualification in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in security management (corporate, industrial, or government).
• Strong knowledge of physical and information security best practices.
• Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
• Familiarity with relevant compliance standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Strategy & Policies

• Develop, implement, and enforce internal security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
• Physical Security

• Oversee access control, CCTV systems, alarms, and perimeter security.
• Ensure proper visitor management and employee ID/access badge protocols.
• Information & Data Security (in collaboration with IT)

• Support data protection initiatives and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
• Monitor for security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Incident Response & Investigations

• Lead investigations of security incidents, breaches, or thefts.
• Report and document incidents with corrective action plans.
• Compliance & Training

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Conduct employee training and awareness programs on security practices.
• Liaison & Coordination

• Coordinate with law enforcement, regulators, and external security providers when required.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and Facilities on integrated security measures
