Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Produce and update risk and threat assessments to provide early warning of local issues that may affect business(s) operations - coordinate communications, and recommendations with the Vice President of Global Security, the Vice President of Africa, and on-the-ground business unit leadership.
  • Coordinate with business unit leadership and internal/external travel resources to deliver a travel-safe program.
  • Key team member to support internal investigation processes.
  • Serve as point of contact and liaison with international, national, and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Develop and maintain a network of local security service providers.
  • Brief leadership on security issues and emergency and response plans in place.
  • Consult with Business Units on all security-related issues. Complete security incident reporting.
  • Establish and provide direction/guidance for the business unit/site-level security contact network.
  • Crisis Management Process Owner and key team member of country/business unit crisis management teams.
  • Maintain membership and participation in local ASIS International and OSAC Country Council organizations and activities.
  • Develop and maintain the Global Security Africa SharePoint site.
What do I need to be considered for this role?

Education
  • University degree required.
  • Ten years experience in law enforcement, private sector security, military, or related subject area.
  • Demonstrated experience handling and conducting security operations in the country and handling security agency or consultant-led projects
Competencies/Skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to operate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • High standards of professional responsibility, personal integrity, and effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to produce results in a self-directed, independent environment.
