Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable

Security Installer

with strong hands-on experience in

alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and electric fencing

. The ideal candidate must be able to install, fault-find, and maintain security systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites across Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and service

alarm systems

(wired and wireless) Install and set up

CCTV systems

(IP and analogue) including DVR/NVR configuration Install and troubleshoot

access control systems

(keypad, tag, biometric, maglock systems, etc.) Install and maintain

electric fencing systems

, energisers, and compliance signage Perform

fault-finding, repairs, and routine maintenance

on existing systems Run and terminate cables neatly (power, network, coaxial, etc.) Ensure installations are neat, secure, and follow industry standards Test systems and hand over to clients with basic training Complete job cards and installation reports accurately Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards on-site

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience installing and servicing:

Alarm systems

CCTV

Access control

Electric fencing

Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently Good understanding of cabling, mounting, and system setup Valid driver's license Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good communication skills and a professional attitude with clients

Advantage (Not Required, But a Plus)

Experience with IP networking basics (routers, switches, remote viewing setup) Knowledge of common security brands (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Paradox, Agax, Centurion, etc.) Previous work on commercial sites and larger installations

Working Conditions

Work is field-based across Johannesburg and surrounding areas May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on site deadlines Company tools and vehicle use (if applicable)
