We are seeking to employ a highly experienced Security Assistant Manager with a very strong and matured personality, to oversee, to run and manage and the operations of the organization, to support our security team in ensuring the safety and security of our organization's people and assets. The Security Assistant Manager should possess excellent leadership and quality control skills. Willing to work 24/7 on call Operation. we'd love to hear from you.

The candidate should have proven track record and extensive experience of 3-5 years proven experience as Security Assistant Manager familiar with retail and property industry.

The job requires an individual that pays rigorous attention to detail, to analyze security incidents, identify root causes, and develop effective solution, Excellent leadership, and communication skills, as the role of the Assistant Operation Manager will be working closely with the Security operation Manager. All departments are highly dependent on the position being a competent individual with regards to organization matters.

The role of the Security Assistant Manager requires an individual that is diligent and hard working as the job can be strenuous at times.

The individual must have a sound understanding of Security standards and frameworks, Principles of security management, including Local laws and regulations.

The role requires an individual that is willing to learn as the work is intricate and complex at times and requires a studious individual.

The individual must be willing to work hard and show initiative in executing their daily duties.

The individual must have good inter-personal skills as job involves communication with a range of people.

Duties & Responsibilities

Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures.

Oversee the coordination of staff during emergency situations.

Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload.

Schedule shift patrol to ensure a building/property is always guarded.

Develop and manage the processes for securing classified and sensitive information.

Prepare and present reports of incidents and ways to limit reoccurrence.

Liaise with public law enforcement agencies and fire department.

Oversee the planning and coordination of security operations during high-risk events.

Regulating entry and exit into a building.

Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts and oversee the installation of alarms around building premises.

Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.

Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities.

Supervise the parking procedures in the organization to ensure an efficient parking system. Accountable to maintain quality, service and outputs related to work in the district (alarm services, contact centres, armed response, guarding etc.) in compliance with policy and procedures.

Identify and solve immediate operational problems within team environment and escalate

unresolved issues for resolution as and when required.

Ensure effective operations management service delivery, ensuring compliance with identified service practices, principles, and processes.

Monitor operations for efficiency, provide feedback to team and serve as a point of escalation for challenging operational issues.

Visit sites on an ongoing basis.

Play an active role in escalated customer complaints.

Develop and maintain client relationships to enhance customer service.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF level 6-7) PSiRA registered. Minimum Grade A Minimum two (2-3) years post matric managerial qualification. National Bargaining council experience Any further education in policing / investigations will be highly beneficial. Minimum five (5) years proven supervisory / managerial experience. Firearm competency and a valid regulation 21 certificate is an advantage. Retail and property experience will be advantageous. Bilingual (English and any other South African Language). First aid and fire-fighting training will be advantageous. Computer literate and knowledge of MS office. Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record. Own reliable transport and driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R25000,00 - R30000,00 per month
