Security Analyst Cisco

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Analyst with 2 to 3 years of experience, focused on network and firewall security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco networking, and general network security practices.

Responsibilities



Monitor and manage firewall systems, with a focus on Palo Alto technologies. Perform network security assessments and vulnerability scans. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure. Support and maintain SD-WAN environments. Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure secure network architecture. Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation. Assist in compliance and audit activities related to network security. Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies.

Experience



2-3 years of experience in IT security or network security roles. Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and security policies. Experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, SD-WAN). Solid understanding of network protocols and security principles. Familiarity with security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms. Ability to analyse logs and identify potential threats. Good communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications



Matric and certifications such as CCNA Security, or CompTIA Security+. Experience in enterprise network environments. * Exposure to incident response and threat intelligence.
