We are seeking an experienced

Seafreight Export Supervisor

to oversee daily operational activities at our client's Jet Park office. This role will ensure that all export shipments are managed effectively, that compliance standards are adhered to, and that customer service levels remain consistently high. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the operations team while driving efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and guide the seafreight operations team on a daily basis. Allocate new business, ensuring scope of work is clear and followed. Oversee Out of Gauge and hazardous shipments to ensure compliance and correct handling. Monitor invoicing, costings, and profitability of all shipments. Maintain accurate documentation, files, and SOPs. Ensure smooth communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams. Prepare and review reports (GM, activity, stock, invoicing, and compliance). Drive service excellence with existing clients and develop growth opportunities across other routes and transport modes. Enforce compliance with internal controls, customs requirements, and Arms Control regulations. Manage staff leave planning and adherence to departmental job functions.

Requirements

Matric plus relevant qualifications. Minimum 5 years' industry experience in seafreight exports, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong knowledge of hazardous and Out of Gauge shipments. Solid understanding of customs, invoicing, and international compliance processes. Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations efficiently.
