Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Screed Operator to join their team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an urgent role within the construction industry for a skilled individual with heavy-duty equipment experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to high-quality project execution.
Responsibilities:
Operate screed machinery for road and pavement construction
Ensure accurate leveling and smooth application of materials
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery
Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure project timelines are met
Adhere to all safety and operational procedures on-site
Requirements:
Proven experience operating screed machines in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty and earthmoving equipment
Welding and fabricating experience is advantageous
Red Seal certification will be a bonus
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
