The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to conduct animal science research, assessment, evaluation, development, innovation, ensure the protection and sustainability of resources and contribute towards a knowledge economy.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 4-year Degree: BSc (Hons) or BSc (Agric) in Animal Science; Compulsory registration with SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions) as a Professional Natural Scientist in Animal Science; Three years post qualification experience in animal nutrition; A valid driving licence.

It will be an advantageous to have the following: PhD in Animal Science (Nutrition), Proven proficiency in feed formulation and a record of publications in animal nutrition.

Remuneration
Grade A: R 721 476 - Grade C: 1 084 368 (OSD as prescribed)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
