To facilitate all administrative tasks/duties for the WIL Department within the School of Education
Job description
Core Functions

  • Perform general duties related to administration in the Work Integrated Learning department
  • Collate and file minutes of meetings and follow up
  • Organise and assist in hosting regional events and related resources
  • Attend and facilitate training sessions on administration procedures
  • Collate and report on stakeholder and student queries
  • Provide ongoing administration support to various stakeholder
  • Assist with sourcing and interview process of mentor assessors
  • Provide ongoing support to schools and students.
  • Provide ongoing support to students regionally.
  • Review all regional WIL schedules and school visits for May and August
  • Build rapport with and develop relations with all stakeholders including academics, students, school partners and other external stakeholders.
Advance the WIL agenda by participating in research-led activities
Minimum requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students
  • A degree/diploma in Administration/ Education component
  • At least 2/3 years of experience in Administration
  • Essential Job-Related Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour.
Respond to queries and channel to relevant departments.

  • Excellent communication skills and email etiquette
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Very high-level organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Possess excellent inter-personal skills
  • Must possess intermediate or advanced digital literacy skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and build capacity
Additional Recommendations:
  • IT experience will be advantageous
  • Experience in partnerships and collaboration with externals stakeholders
  • Remote working experience
  • Facilitation/training experience
  • Minute taking; collate, share and file minutes of meetings.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders receive minutes and updates timeously
  • Perform general duties related to SoE such as typing, meeting attendance and events planning for SoE regionally.
  • Liaise with the regional library to ensure that resources (books and dissertations) are readily available to staff and students.
  • Resources must be filed electronically and manually (backed up constantly) and sourced to academics in need.
