PwC has recently launched the South African Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC), designed to innovate, build, and deploy solutions for our global clients across a range of technology and transformational needs. We are seeking candidates that have experience in overseeing and managing the delivery of data and insights solutions to clients. Ideal candidates must have backgrounds in managing a team of data analysts and insights professionals.

This is a key role within our Data & Insights team, within Integrated Services. We are looking for a manager to work across a number of our stakeholder groups to drive efficiencies, remove duplication and build new tools to drive greater insights. This is an exciting time to join an evolving team to drive the data analytics transformation.


Qualifications /

Certifications required:



University degree in an analytical or related field


Professional certifications in relevant analytical tools or platforms


Power BI Certification (preferred)


Databricks Certification (a bonus)


Experience required:



Experience with data transformation and visualisation tools ( e.g. e.g. Alteryx,


PowerBI , SQL, Python, Databricks)


Previous analytical experience in a professional environment;


Line management experience;


Strong project management skills/ experience;


The ability to review and critically assess processes, working with colleagues


to drive change;


The ability to work effectively in the face of pressure and not compromise


professional standards;


The ability to work within a team and establish strong working relationships


with other teams;


Strong communication skills - particularly the ability to troubleshoot


complex problems and articulate resolutions with clarity;


A customer-focused mindset;


Passion for change and innovation; and


Passion for technology and taking personal responsibility to stay on top of


new developments.



Preferred



Knowledge of GDPR and Compliance regulations


Data science expertise , including Python and machine learning


Strong ability to work in a hybrid environment


Responsibilities of role:



This role will require strong project and stakeholder management skills and the candidate will require an intermediate/advanced knowledge of analytics/data modelling/business intelligence tools.



This role will entail (non-exhaustive list):


Working with key stakeholders across Business Solutions to understand data


and analytics requirements;


Negotiate and influence stakeholders in regards to requirements gathering,


return on investment and project timelines


Working with the Tech Central Data Intelligence team to drive efficiencies


and improve current offering


Building effective solutions using a range of data transformation/analytic


tools in response to stakeholder feedback


Project manage work from creation to implementation ensuring deadlines


are met


Working across the whole Data & Insights team (including governance and


data lifecycle) to ensure teams, and current and new solutions are aligned


and compliant with regulations


Driving the consolidation of reporting, insights and dashboards across a


variety of stakeholder groups


Supporting and providing advice to the stakeholders across Business


Solutions


Upskilling junior members of staff in data transformation and analytics tools


Applying an agile mindset, demonstrating flexibility to quickly shift priorities


of focus to support the extended Data & Insights team


Managing and coaching junior members of the team to ensure projects are


progressing and to have oversight of the pipeline of work and team priorities


Line managing and supporting the team of data analysts.


Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the team of data analysts, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational priorities. Manage performance, development, and wellbeing of team members through regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and career development planning. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, encouraging innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

Demonstrable experience of working on multiple engagements and managing your time effectively. Experience in delivering high quality work to tight deadlines.
