Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Consultant to support, maintain, and enhance their SAP BW landscape. The role focuses on SAP BW4HANA development, including system analysis, solution design, development, and operational support, in alignment with SAP Recommended Layered Scalable Architecture (LSA++).
The successful candidate will play a key role in data extraction, modelling, reporting, and process chain management, ensuring reliable, high-quality data delivery to the business. Key Responsibilities SAP BW Development & Support
Perform system analysis, solution design, development, support, and maintenance of SAP BW solutions
Develop SAP BW4HANA solutions aligned to SAP LSA++ architecture principles
Design and implement efficient data models to support business reporting and analytics needs Data Extraction & Modelling
Develop and maintain BW extractors
Design and manage Master Data, DSOs, Cubes, Composite Providers, and Open Hub Extracts
Handle end-to-end data flows, from extraction through transformation and reporting Process Chains & Monitoring
Design, build, and maintain complex SAP BW Process Chains
Monitor and support daily, weekly, and monthly process chains and data loads
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data load and performance issues Reporting & BI Tools
Provide SAP BI development support using:
SAP Web Intelligence
SAP Analysis for Excel
Lumira Designer
Support query design and optimisation to meet reporting performance requirements Operational Support
Provide ongoing system support and maintenance
Perform root cause analysis for data and process failures
Work closely with functional and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently Minimum Requirements Technical Skills & Experience
Proven experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW/BW4HANA)
Strong hands-on experience with:
Data extraction, modelling, and query design
Process chain development and monitoring
LSA++ architecture
Solid understanding of SAP BI reporting tools General Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams Advantageous Skills
Experience working in large enterprise SAP landscapes
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA source systems
Performance optimisation and troubleshooting experience Contract Notes
12-month fixed-term contract
Based in Sandton
