Job Description
Job Summary Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design of complex systems and provide technical input into architecture.
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality ABAP code aligned with business specifications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise programs for performance and reliability.
- Develop integrations between internal and external systems.
- Maintain and support existing solutions, including system patches and upgrades.
- Project manage coding deliverables, track milestones, and manage risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and engage stakeholders regularly.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Clean, high-performing, and scalable ABAP code.
- Well-documented systems that are audit and security compliant (SOX, POPIA, ITGC).
- Robust integrations enabling smooth data flow across platforms.
- Minimal downtime and efficient user-facing systems.
- Strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- 8-10 years' total experience, with 8+ years in ABAP development.
- Certified in SAP ECC 6 ABAP.
- Proven track record in:
- Information systems support and development.
- Complex SAP application development.
- System integration and automation.
- Adhering to governance and compliance standards.
