An opportunity has become available for a Supervisor: Sample Room to join the Prestige Clothing Caledon team.

Responsibilities:

Create garment samples Responsible for garment construction Responsible for the final presentation of garment critical and perfect execution of sample garment critical Meeting with Pattern technologists to discuss patterns and construction Manage small team Create sample packs Pattern Reading Communication to the Design Centre Administration Cutting, sewing, and prepping fabric according to the requirements of each article Place order when requested on raw materials (e.g. threads, buttons, elastics, basis trims) Assist with multi-skill the production operators (new product) Denim capability upskilling Quality control for specific lines/ garments/ orders Ad hoc projects Reporting Investigating and implementing best practice related to Quality and Denim

Requirements:

Grade 10 or equivalent Sample versatility Able to operate a variety of sewing machines Min 2-3 yrs. experience in a clothing manufacturing environment Min 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity Computer literate Ability to work on a wide range of sewing machines to complete different tasks Must be able to sewing all types of top and bottoms, woven and knitted fabric
