About the Role:
In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of your sales team, focusing on managing their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive exceptional results. You'll analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to ensure your team hits and surpasses their targets.
A key aspect of this position is your ability to lead from the front. You'll actively participate in engaging with warm leads via phone and email, demonstrating best practices, handling complex scenarios, and showcasing the persuasive sales approach we expect. Your personal contribution to our sales goals, combined with your coaching and mentoring, will be instrumental in your team's success.
Hours:
2 PM - 12 AM, on-site, in Cape Town CBD. Compensation: Base salary + uncapped commission (Top performers earn up to R50,000, with 40% of our team reaching this level.) Key Responsibilities:
KPI Management & Performance Coaching: Monitor, analyze, and report on individual and team sales KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, call quality, lead qualification, successful handovers). Develop and implement strategies to improve performance and address any shortfalls through targeted coaching and feedback sessions.
Leading by Example on the Phones: Actively engage with warm leads via phone and email, building rapport, qualifying potential clients, and setting them up for success in the sales process. Your personal sales efforts will contribute directly to team targets and serve as a practical example for your team.
Team Development & Training: Provide ongoing, constructive feedback and one-on-one coaching to sales representatives to enhance their sales skills, objection handling, and persuasive communication. Identify training needs and collaborate with leadership to address them.
Motivation & Engagement: Foster a positive, competitive, and high-performance team culture. Motivate team members through recognition, goal setting, and creating a supportive environment for growth.
Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to sales processes, CRM accuracy, and company policies. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on team performance, sales trends, challenges, and successes for management, providing actionable insights.
What We're Looking For:
Proven Sales Leadership: At least one year of experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a sales or call center environment, with a strong track record of managing and improving team performance against KPIs.
Hands-On Sales Experience: Strong, recent, and hands-on experience in a sales role, particularly engaging with leads via phone and email and consistently achieving targets.
Results-Oriented & Commission-Driven: Highly sales-driven and motivated by commission, with a competitive mindset focused on exceeding goals.
Exceptional Communicator: Excellent communication, negotiation, and rapport-building skills, with the ability to effectively handle objections and inspire confidence.
Coaching Acumen: Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales professionals to reach their full potential.
Adaptability: Comfortable working US hours (2 PM - 12 AM SAST) and available for on-site work in Cape Town, CBD.
