The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and others) and non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Waste Control Division currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and organized Sales Representative to join their team. The Sales Representative primary purpose is to source new and maintain current clients for the Waste Control Division.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Source new business and build portfolio for the Department.
  • Prospecting and Cold calling
  • Follow up on quotations.
  • Maintain existing client database.
  • Handle day to day requests and queries
  • Handle customer complaints efficiently
  • Minimise cancellation of service requests
  • Proactive approach when working with the sales and marketing team.
  • Submit weekly sales report.
  • Work closely with transport control room and accounts department.
  • Understanding and managing hazardous waste and educate clients accordingly.
  • Understanding and managing recycling waste and educate clients accordingly.
  • Sourcing alternatives to landfill disposal
  • Sales administrative duties:
  • Compiling and send quotations.
  • Creating and forwarding pro-forma invoices.
  • Populating Waste Declaration Sheets on behalf of customer.
  • Populate and send Control Authorisation Sheets to Vissershok Waste Management Facility.
  • Populate Service Level Agreements for new customers.
  • Providing customers with proof of work completed / waste handled & disposed correctly.
Minimum Qualifying Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing
  • A minimum of between 3 - 5 years' experience in a Sales or Marketing position
  • Computer literate - full Microsoft suite
  • Valid Code 08 license and own reliable vehicle
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work in a pressurized and demanding environment
  • Enthusiastic, vibrant personality focusing on achieving deliverables
  • Must be a team player
  • Fully bilingual
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Well groomed, confident and a self-starter
