THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
You will be responsible for the successful selling and promotions of Albany products to meet sales targets and increase market penetration.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Sales Execution

  • Account developmentxe2x80x8b
  • Understand sales routes and management thereofxe2x80x8b
  • Schedule regular route rides (minimum twice annually on each route)xe2x80x8b
  • Complete Call Cyclesxe2x80x8b
  • Update Profile Cards on a daily basisxe2x80x8b
  • Planning for, and execution of promotion activations, including into distributor networks and clientsxe2x80x8b
  • Manage returns and donationsxe2x80x8b
  • Conduct pricing surveysxe2x80x8b
  • Liaise with Telesales
  • Manage discounts and conduct discount reviewsxe2x80x8b
  • Understand and conduct bread stand placementsxe2x80x8b
  • Understand and execute customer classification (look of success)xe2x80x8b
  • Fill in as a relief representative where requiredxe2x80x8b
  • Meet weekly and monthly sales targetsxe2x80x8b
  • Build excellent relations with the trade and crewsxe2x80x8b
  • Conduct weekly driver interviews to review route performancexe2x80x8b
Merchandising
  • Ensure displayed stock does not include damaged or out of date stock. xe2x80x8b
  • Ensure display areas kept clean at all times.xe2x80x8b
  • TBFS management
  • Manage relationship with TBFS in order to ensure effective use of order book, additional shelf space achieved, shelves properly stocked and clean, stock levels checked. xe2x80x8b
  • Point of sales material erected where possible. Credit Returnsxe2x80x8b
  • Credit returns minimized as per Bakery policy. xe2x80x8b
  • Ensure TBFS manage stock rotation and rate of sale (ROS)xe2x80x8b
Negotiated pricing platforms
  • Negotiate pricing strategies and deals within mandate
Customer relationsxe2x80x8b
  • Open new accounts (PED)xe2x80x8b
  • Ensure outstanding monies collectedxe2x80x8b
  • Ensure special deliveries made and customer queries handled. xe2x80x8b
Quality
  • Understand the requirements of product qualityxe2x80x8b
  • Learn how to deal with customer complaintsxe2x80x8b
  • Report consumer complaints to Field Sales Managerxe2x80x8b
  • Manage market incidentsxe2x80x8b
  • Understand and manage the withdrawal/recall processxe2x80x8b
  • Understand the logistics process

Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • National Senior Certificate
  • 2 years Marketing & Sales Experience
  • Valid Driver's licence
  • Computer literate
