SALES REPRESENTATIVE CRITICAL CARE
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12
Related qualification (medical related) preferred
5 years medical / critical care device sales experience
1 -2 years theatre experience
Good experience of both formulary and non-formulary items (Private Hospitals)
Computer literate (Complete MS Word package)
Practical experience regarding hospital procurement systems and processes (Private Hospitals)
Experience targeting potential clients such as: pediatricians, physicians, neonatologists, pulmonologists, anesthetists etc.
Own transport and valid drivers license
Duties:
We are looking to hire an experienced Medical Sales Representative to grow our existing portfolio in the hospital environment.
To fully manage the relationship of the organization and maximize the sales opportunities in the Southern and Western suburbs of Gauteng.
We are looking for a sales hunter who has a natural affinity for analysing data, identifying opportunities, closing gaps, and securing long-term business relationships with our corporate, independent, and public sector hospital groups.
Must be organised, has professional and consultative selling skills, able to manage his or her territory effectively in conjunction with our internal CRM system.
Proven record of hard-working, dedicated, self- starter, with the will to improve, improvise and succeed, an individual who thinks out the box and is willing to go the extra mile for his/her customers, this role will suit you.
Non-negotiable The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience in the medical device industry with a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and doctor detailing experience.
70% percent of this role includes key stake holder engagement, with a specific focus on doctor detailing.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing relationships with key physicians and key customers within the accounts.
30 % of your time will be spent training and educating nursing staff, engaging with Pharmacy Managers, IPC, Stock controllers, Buyers, Clinical facilitators, technical staff, and Unit managers to name a few.
The ideal candidate will promote a broad road of well-established medical and critical care brands.
Meet and exceed the weekly, monthly and annual sales target
Budget and plan and sell full range of surgical instruments and surgical products to hospitals and related healthcare professionals.
Products: blood filters, IV filters for clear fluids and TPN, breathing filters, transducers and extension sets, closed suction catheters, anesthesia, infusion and injection systems, human waste management systems
Promoting current and new products
Identify new business opportunities to sell new products
Demonstrate a consistent work methodology that focuses on achieving targets (high energy, committed self-starter)
Goal setting and tracking
Internal collaboration
Promote products to be used in theatre
Demonstrate sound planning that will result in achieving sales and marketing objectives
Provide reports on progress on continual basis (weekly, monthly etc.)
Prepare and submit forecasts
Manage all sales activities on internal systemin alignment with organisations medial sales and marketing tools
Manage consignment stock take ownership of stock signed out
Follow correct procedures to gain entry into theatres
Maintain a scrub rate
Maintain a call rate of as per the organisations targets.
Implementation of sales plan
Managing customer relations at all levels in the designated territory (South and West Rand Private Hospitals)
Required to deal with all levels of customers in the buying chain
Monitor and report on competitive trends and products
Must have experience from any of the related environments eg.
Surgical, theatre, hospital, medical device, human anatomy, specialists, formulary and non-formulary items
R420k p/a and commission. Plus car allowance, fuel card and cell allowance. Plus group risk cover, funeral and disability cover.
