Job Description


Our client is looking for a Sales Representative.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively searching for new business and sales for the entire product range
  • Actively promoting and selling the entire product range to new and existing clients
  • Implement the Sales strategy for growth within Southern Africa focusing on the entire product range
  • Following up on all sales leads
  • Ensuring strict 24-hour turnaround time on quoting for new business and following up on all quotes submitted
  • Quoting on all tender invitations and submitting it within the deadline period, together with the necessary documentation needed
  • Relationship building with new and existing customers to ensure that products are foremost in their planning
  • Relationship building with specifiers, contractors and key customers
  • Launch and implement new initiatives to improve sales
  • Submit weekly & monthly reports on quotes, travel & clients visits
  • Manage all sales jobs and/or projects
  • Building trusting relationships with key customers and understand their businesses. Develop business opportunities, improve customer satisfaction and secure retention of key customers.
  • Always try to exceed the customerxe2x80x99s expectation by xe2x80x9cunder promise & Over deliverxe2x80x9d
  • Ensure that you look presentable when interacting with a client as a representative of the company
  • Always strive for exceptional customer service
  • Provide customers with necessary information / brochures / updates on our product range
  • Always be on the look-out at a customer site for additional products that could be utilised and sold to the customer
  • Treating colleagues and co-workers with as much respect as you would external customers

  • Team Responsibilities
  • Assisting national branches with all admin related queries when necessary
  • Assisting team members outside of your scope of duty if the need arises
  • Always show curtesy, respect and friendliness towards your fellow employees
  • Lead by example
  • Be open to suggestions and advice from team members and management
  • Administration
  • General administration duties including filing, document management, information security and ease of reference
  • Ensuring that the correct processes are followed when receiving and placing orders
  • Communicate payment terms as well as general terms & conditions of sale with each quotation
  • Facilitating the clear communication about delivery times and installation times with the customer
  • Communicate handover details between the customer and operations team
  • Monitoring and overseeing the CRM system with focus on ensuring leads and potential customers are updated on the system regularly
  • Preparing accurate reports as required, mainly comprising forecast updates, pipeline, customer visit reports and activity reporting
  • Maintaining accurate records of all negotiations and interactions with customers
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Sales and Marketing NQF 5 xe2x80x93 6(an advantage)
  • Computer literacy including Excel, Word and CRM experience an advantage
  • Technical Knowledge

  • Construction Sector trends
  • Good Product Knowledge
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience in technical sales
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Strong technical understanding and interest
  • Experience within the mining, aviation or construction sectors
  • Ability to implement short, medium and long-term growth plans
  • Understanding of how to manage opportunity pipe-lines and hit-rates and how to sell holistic solutions
  • Minimum 2 years external sales experience
Remuneration:
  • R180k xe2x80x93 R216k
