Job Description

We are is looking for a highly motivated sales agents to join the IAP department sales team. Mainly responsible for overseeing, supporting and growing key accounts, building strong relationships with strategic customers, and driving sales growth. Suitable candidates must leverage their sales background and analytical approach to identify new opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and deliver goal driven results. The objective will be to drive IAP sales growth, expand market share, and achieve sales targets set by the company.

DATE REQUIRED: ASAP/Urgent
POSITION DETAILS: 24 Months Agency Agreement
JOB DESCRIPTION - Not limited but aligned to:

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions
  • Grow the business by expanding existing relationships and developing new ones, with a focus on strategic and key accounts
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products and services, staying up to date with new developments, competitor activity and products and features
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, using data driven insights to inform decision making
  • Extensive travelling
  • Weekly Sales Reporting
  • Monthly Sales Meetings
  • Attend conferences, farmers day and information days as needed.
  • Where applicable, support management/maintenance of existing client database ensuring such is up to date.
  • Attending meetings, training sessions virtually and in person.
CORE FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • In-depth knowledge of the pig and poultry industry, including production systems, market trends, and challenges
  • Strong understanding of poultry vaccines, pig vaccines and technical specifications, benefits and applications
  • Knowledge of effective sales negotiations including interacting on a technical level with Veterinarians and high-level customers
  • Staying up to date with competitor activity, market trends and industry developments
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to
  • Create engaging and informative presentations for high-level customers and veterinarians,
  • Deliver confident and persuasive presentations that showcase products and services,
  • Handle questions and discussions with ease, demonstrating expertise and knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/COMPETENCIES CRITERIA:
  • Diploma or Degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Business Marketing or a relevant field
  • 3 + Years IAP industry knowledge.
  • 5 + Years experience in Sales focused on industry combined with related experience within the Animal Health sector.
  • Technical knowledge of poultry and pig production systems, including breeding, rearing, grower and layer poultry
  • AVCASA registration advantages (can be provided / organised through company).
  • IAP products background/experience - advantages.
  • Interactive & communicates well with people.
  • Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc).
  • Strong Self-Starter / Self-initiating / Self-directed.
  • Strong English, verbal, reading and writing skills, other languages beneficial.
  • Valid drivers licence.
Wage/Salary Monthly: R17 000 + R 3000 Travel Allowance + R500 Cell phone Allowance + Incentives + Med for Main member + Pension
Wage/Salary Annual Fixed Cost : R285 984.00
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for Sales role within the IAP pharmaceutical's environment. Work involves high pressure within a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring quality and client relations are not compromised, extensive travelling within the region forms part of the duties
