Duties & Responsibilities:
Developing and executing sales strategies to grow the logistics portfolio in the commodities sector.
Identifying and engaging new clients in the mining and trading sectors across Southern Africa and international markets.
Managing end-to-end logistics solutions including road, rail, and port operations for bulk commodities (Chrome, Lithium, Copper, etc).
Negotiating contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability and service excellence.
Collaborating with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and commodity flows to identify new business opportunities.
Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools.
Attending industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the companys logistics capabilities
Qualifications:
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 35 years of experience in logistics or freight sales, preferably in the commodities or mining sector.
Strong knowledge of Southern African logistics corridors and port operations.
Strong track record of achieving sales target and driving revenue growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business development plans.
Solid understanding of market research and analysis.
Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders.
