Our company, a leader in the material handling sector, is currently hiring a Sales Representative to procure business from new and existing customers while ensuring strong relationships with our valued clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain sound customer relationships through ongoing communication and exceptional service.
  • Provide technical advice and training to customers, including engaging presentations.
  • Conduct battery checks, voltage assessments, and SG measurements.
  • Perform measurements of battery compartments for various equipment, such as forklifts.
  • Actively seek out and engage new customers to expand our market reach.
  • Service existing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Efficiently handle customer complaints and queries from start to finish.
  • Manage sales and expense budgets effectively.
  • Meet sales targets and deadlines with a proactive approach.
  • Compile quotations, negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions.
  • Regularly review cost and sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage all aspects of the role.
  • Forecast sales opportunities and maintain a clear pipeline, providing customer progress reports.
  • Promote and sell our comprehensive range of high-quality products.
  • Follow up on deliveries to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education.
  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing or N3 Electrical Engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of sales experience in the material handling sector.
  • Preference given to candidates with a college certificate/diploma in Sales & Marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Moderate computer literacy and technical knowledge to perform the job successfully.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
  • Proven sales track record.
Skills
  • Excellent reading and interpretation skills for manuals and instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective presentation skills in front of customers and groups.
  • Strong mathematical abilities, including calculations, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Accountable decision-making to ensure pricing levels and distribution agents align with company policies.
  • Adherence to budget limitations for promotions and advertising.
  • Valid Code 08 driver's license.
  • PSS course completion and technical understanding of battery workings.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Sales closing skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude with a hunter mentality.
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology is beneficial.
