Main purpose of the Job
We are in search of a highly motivated Sales Representative with a background in the Beverage industry, particularly within the informal market sector, to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining existing customer relationships, identifying new markets, and driving sales growth in the informal market space. In retail outlets, a sales representative may arrange stock and ensure that it is attractively presented for sale. They may also take orders, arrange payment and delivery or collection, and distribute catalogues and advertising material.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Beverage Industry, preferably within the informal market segment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Own reliable vehicle.
Key Performance Area of Responsibilities
Sales
  • Planning and development of the national retail sales strategy, objectives and plans. Plan targeted business development activities and design strategies and driving improvements.
  • Implementation and execution of all retail sales strategies and plans effectively, development and growth of retail revenue.
  • Revise retail plans and advise management on sales trends by reporting on and sales target achievements i.e.: plans vs budget vs actual
  • Manage sales, trading terms, spend promotions, trade discounts and profitability of all sales representatives i.e.: returns, pricing, price increases and category management
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with top key customers, thereby enabling sales growth.
  • Develop and implement Area Marketing plan both above and below the line advertising in alignment with National Strategy. Develop Customer relationships.
  • Achieve sales targets by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining sales representatives.
  • Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing key job performance areas; reviewing compensation actions and enforcing policies and procedures.
Marketing
  • Achieving marketing and operational objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising and trade promotion programs in line with company objectives
  • Preparing and developing sales action plans for sales representatives in relation to productivity and market trends
  • Defining market and competitor's strengths and weaknesses, forecasting projected business and establishing target markets
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities i.e.: improving product packaging and coordinating new product development
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts and by making periodic client visits
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping all company information confidential.
  • Maintains high level of customer service by enforcing standards; coaching representatives; monitoring calls, surveying customers and evaluating outcomes
  • Managing and developing all marketing activities and strategies for promotional campaigns
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
  • Manage and improve lead generating campaigns and measuring results
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications and new product launches
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant departments are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Manages the day-to-day marketing activities of the organisation and long-term marketing strategy for the company
Client Services
  • Opens and attracts potential customers by answering product and service, suggesting information about other products and services
  • Opens new customer accounts and maintain customer information and records
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customers complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solutions to solve the problem, expediting corrective action to ensure resolution
  • Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments
  • Recommending potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analysing customer needs
  • Prepare product or services reports by collecting and analysing customer information
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage shop coolers for clients
