ESSENTIALS
Degree or diploma in Agricultural Science / Plant Biotechnology, additional qualifications in marketing / business highly advantageous. Must have minimum of 2 yrs proven sales / business development experience within the Agricultural / Agri-tech industry.
Excellent communication & presentation skills required. SA Citizen, fluent in Afrikaans.
Valid driving license & willing to travel across South Africa.
Location: Cape Winelands
Salary: Basic plus commission

Join an exciting company with an agricultural focus on advanced molecular testing for plant diseases affecting high-value crops. This role will involve actively building relationships and driving growth, making connections with growers, producers and nurseries to introduce and deliver the companies plant health testing services, with a vision to protect the customers yields and boost agricultural productivity.
The role will include proactive identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, visiting customers sites (incl. farmers, nurseries owners, research facilities), to market, promote and sell plant diagnostic testing services. This position will suit a highly professional, target driven, determined individual who seeks to build strong & lasting relationships, to grow the client-base, to reach & exceed sales targets, to increase profit margins. The preparation & delivery of technical presentations will be required, as well as managing client accounts from initial contact to service delivery & follow up. Record keeping, sales reporting and related admin will be managed using a CRM.
REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in Agric./Plant Science/Biotechnology/related
• ~ 2 yrs previous sales experience (agri-tech/life sciences/agriculture ideally).
• Strong communication, presentation + relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage travel and admin.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and a fast learner.
• Valid drivers licence + willingness to travel extensively across SA.
• SA Citizen, fluent speaking & presenting in Afrikaans.
