Who are we looking for: A customer-focused and driven sales team leader

What will you do:

  • This leader is responsible for creating strategies to deliver on the market's goals and formulating plans to grow the business.
  • Lead and supervise groups team leader and oversee operations of the groups department.
  • Actively participate in budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
  • Support and develop strategy and execution of launched
  • Achieve the required revenue target (international and local, trade and consumer)
  • Maintain and build relationships
  • Identify and manage the best opportunities within the trade for brand visibility
  • Through ongoing analysis of sales trends, market feedback and business imperatives facilitate tactical promotions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance tracking and performance against key sales indicators
  • Assist in developing business architecture and facilitating organizational planning to achieve optimal structure,systems and processes for future scalability
  • Research and analyse local market trends (Industry, Competitors, Customer, Distribution channels) based on the sales objectives, identifying target markets and how best to reach them
  • Develop authentic relationships built on ethics, respect and team spirit
  • Coach and mentor the sales organization, strengthening talent base and elevating the sales approach and performance standard
  • xe2x80xa2 Ensure customer satisfaction is a sales team priority by setting KPI's for each sales executive
  • Facilitate collaborative relationships across the various departments including the call centre, groups,customer care, quality control, set up, marketing and finance.
  • Establish lasting and trusting relationships with our preferred trade partner
What do you need:
  • Essential: Matric, Grade 12
  • Desirable: Travel & Tourism Diploma
  • Relevant tourism experience
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • University Degree or equivalent professional experience|
  • At least 6 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of competitive marketing analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience developing collateral marketing/sales materials
  • Experience in the cruise/hospitality industry or a seasoned strategic market is a strong asset
  • Excellent organisational skills
