Sales Manager - Leopard Sands by Marriott Lodge

Position Overview:

The Sales Manager at Leopard Sands is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and executing sales strategies to achieve occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of luxury safari tourism, and the ability to promote the lodge to international and domestic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual occupancy and revenue targets. Identify and cultivate relationships with tour operators, travel agents, OTAs, corporate clients, and direct guests. Manage the lodge's key accounts and ensure exceptional service standards for repeat business. Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns, promotional offers, and sales materials targeting the luxury travel market. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Attend trade shows, roadshows, and networking events locally and internationally to promote the lodge. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for management review. Work closely with operations to ensure guest satisfaction, smooth check-ins, and seamless experiences for clients. Lead, coach, and develop on-property sales staff where applicable. Ensure compliance with Marriott International brand standards and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury lodge/resort sales, preferably in safari tourism. Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Knowledge of international and domestic travel markets. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
