KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute the regional sales strategy and action plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
Monitor team performance and implement action plans to drive GP growth.
Identify new butchery business opportunities and manage key accounts (e.g., Shoprite, Spar, OBC, Roots).
Identify new business opportunities within the butchery and meat processing sector.
Ensure sales representatives maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, coach, and motivate the sales representatives, Branch Cash and Carry and Client Liaison teams to achieve individual and team sales goals.
Conduct regular sales meetings, training, and performance evaluations.
Set clear KPIs and ensure accountability across the team.
Foster a high-performance sales culture within the region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with butchers, meat processors, and butchery chain retailers.
Work closely with key accounts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Gather market intelligence on competitors, industry trends, and customer preferences.
Represent Exim International at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities when needed.
4. Operational & Administrative Duties
Ensure the sales team adheres to company policies, pricing structures, and discount strategies.
Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to the National Sales and Operations Manager.
Manage the sales budget and allocate resources effectively.
Ensure accurate records by reps of sales visits, orders, and client interactions through full utilisation of the CRM platform.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
:
Minimum:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in
Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
.
Experience:
2+ years of sales experience in the butchery supply industry, with at least
3+ years in a sales leadership role
.
Strong knowledge of
packaging, casings, butchery machinery, spices, and ingredients
butchery industry will be an advantage.

Strong ability to close deals and build long-term client relationships.
Industry Knowledge:

A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
