Job Description

A prominent Pharmaceutical company is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and manage the sales team, drive revenue growth, and ensure the successful promotion and market penetration of the company's product basket within the designated region.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and achieve individual and team goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Establish and grow the company's presence within hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
  • Set clear targets for the sales team and monitor progress against goals.
  • Ensure the team is equipped to meet or exceed sales expectations while promoting a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date on product offerings, industry regulations, and emerging therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure the team effectively communicates product benefits and differentiators to healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, regulatory, and product management teams to ensure alignment in sales strategies and execution.
  • Provide valuable feedback to product development based on customer insights.
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification such as bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of success in sales growth, team management, and achieving sales targets.
  • Skills & Knowledge
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare landscape
  • Experience in dealing with customers at all levels
