Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will be will obtain and expand the company's business relationships. In order to succeed in this position the candidate must have a solid technical understanding of the company and its products compiled with sociable and outgoing personality to build rapport with potential clients.

Responsibilities



Management: Take care of the branch, Take care of junior staff, Accountability & Responsibility Reporting - Sales, stock, Work closely and build relationships with current customers(customers to buy new products) Open new accounts Revive lost business. Provide technical support when needed. Develop initiative sales strategy.
MAIN PURPOSE:
To bring in inquiries, follow-up quotations and successfully negotiate orders as well as maintain existing customer relationships and develop new ones.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Orders:
Receiving and processing of customer orders in line with the customers technical requirements.
Take responsibility for tender documents and quotations within the proposals division.
Ensure that all technical requirements are taken into account.
Review customer specifications to ensure compliance.
Perform cost calculations to ensure accurate pricing.
Perform electrical and mechanical calculations as required.
Liaise with customers.
Formulate the best possible solution to meet customer requirements.

Sales:
Direct selling to customers and generating new sales leads.
Visiting assigned customers according to planned calling schedules.
Preparing budgets, estimated potential and planned profitability per customer.
Actively promoting the sales of smart metering product to existing customers and researching new market opportunities.
Obtain enquiries, prepare quotations and follow up to conclusion.
Develop leads on Products.

Customers:
Assisting customers with technical queries.
Provide technical support within the department and to customers.
Negotiating orders.
General:
Assist with technical queries.
Assist with product launches, technical presentations, and trade shows.
Technical support and assist with commissioning.
Attend regular Sales and Projects meetings.
The prescribed company procedures, including signature mandate, must be complied with at all times.
All staff is required to service customers promptly and courteously and to ensure that calls are returned, that queries are speedily answered and that all commitments are timeously fulfilled.
Perform any other reasonable duties assigned to you, as and when required to ensure the smooth operation of the company.

Stock:

Manage stock to customer needs and requirements.

Cycle counts on a weekly basis.

Inter branch transfers.

Stock takes in line to head office requirement.

Requirements and Experience:

Capital Equipment Expertise:

Demonstrate proficiency in navigating long sales cycles, particularly within the Electric Motor Industry.

Experience:

Bring 3-8 years of proven experience in sales, showcasing your ability to drive results.

Reporting:

Administrative Skills:

Manage tasks efficiently with strong administrative capabilities.

Tech-Savvy:

Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel.

Technical Knowledge:

Possess a sound understanding of technical concepts or the ability to grasp them quickly.

Communication Skills:

Articulate ideas effectively and foster productive dialogue with clients.

Budget Assistance:

Provide valuable support in managing budgets related to projects and clients.

Market Share Growth:

Focus Areas:

Concentrate efforts on sales to the mining end users. OEM's and other prospective clients.

International Exposure:

Occasional international travel opportunities Africa.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering or technical expertise in the electric motor industry 3+ years of relevant experience Strong negotiation skills Interpersonal skills

Experience:

knowledge of electric motors(mining motors ): 3 years (Preferred)
