Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Target Management

- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

- Monitor performance daily/weekly and adjust plans as needed.

- Drive consistent achievement of revenue goals.

- Build accurate sales forecasts and pipelines.

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

- Recruit, train, and onboard new sales reps.

- Conduct weekly 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

- Implement KPIs and hold staff accountable through data.

- Create a high-performance, competitive sales culture.

3. Sales Strategy & Execution

- Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company goals.

- Identify new customer segments and market opportunities.

- Implement sales playbooks, scripts, CRM processes, and workflow improvements.

- Work with marketing to align lead-generation efforts.

4. Customer Relationship Management

- Build and maintain key strategic customer relationships.

- Resolve escalated customer issues.

- Ensure sales team delivers a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

5. Data, Reporting & Systems

- Maintain CRM accuracy and data hygiene.

- Track conversion rates, activity metrics, revenue per rep, and pipeline health.

- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports for leadership.

- Use analytics to drive decision-making and improvements.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work with Operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

- Work with Finance on pricing, discounting, and credit terms.

- Work with Product/Manufacturing to relay customer feedback.

7. Training & Development

- Provide ongoing skills training.

- Identify underperformance and implement improvement plans.

- Support career development and succession planning.

8. Compliance, Policies & Procedures

- Ensure all reps follow company policies.

- Maintain alignment with HR policies and meritocracy performance standards.

- Ensure adherence to South African labour and consumer regulations.

9. Territory & Account Management

- Allocate territories fairly and strategically.

- Oversee key accounts and large deals.

- Ensure reps prioritize high-value opportunities.

10. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify inefficiencies and implement new tools/processes.

- Analyse competitor activity and market trends.

- Lead the sales team through change or new initiatives.

11. Management of house accounts

- Management of house accounts.

- Ensure achievement of set budgets for house accounts.

- Allocate reps where necessary to ensure customers are being looked after.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R20000,00 per month
