Job Description


An exciting opportunity is available for a capable and confident professional to step into the role of Sales Manager. The ideal candidate should be a top-tier leader entrusted with the responsibility of guiding and overseeing a national sales team.

The primary objective of this role is to drive the sustainable growth and profitability of our retail and wholesale channels by effectively implementing the company's strategic and operational plans.

Responsibilities:

Customer Team Management:

  • Key account team management for monthly and annual business objectives.
  • Direct responsibility for priority key accounts for growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships for trade competitiveness.
  • Achieve pricing objectives through effective account manager and sales agent management.
  • Ensure trading terms, co-op spending, and discounting align with budgeted levels.
Field Sales Team Management:
  • Manage sales and merchandising agents for on-shelf availability, range, and sales targets.
  • Enhance store-level competitiveness with Perfect store guidelines.
Business Planning and Execution:
  • Lead annual customer business planning for segment-specific business objectives.
  • Manage monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and execute customer promotional plans for strategic and tactical objectives.
  • FY budgeting for volume and value by month, region, and customer.
New Business Development:
  • Lead DOB business development, identifying, presenting, and closing opportunities.
  • Ensure effective ranging of the company's New Product Development (NPD) within agreed timelines
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Matric qualification
  • Relevant business/sales/retail tertiary qualification - will be beneficial
  • 5+ years of Sales Management experience in a retail environment with thorough knowledge of market trends and the retail landscape
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and own vehicle
