Matric certificate - Grade 12

Hospitality or Tourism diploma / degree

Knowledge of Infor/SCS and Dineplan advantageous

At least 5 years' experience in a sales role

At least 2 years' experience in the hospitality industry

Excellent negotiation skills

Must have a valid driver's license & must have own car

Must have a valid passport and be able to travel locally, regionally or internationally as required

Key Areas of Responsibility

Generate maximum revenue potential from Key Accounts, Prospecting Accounts and New Business
/p
/li
li
p
Actively source new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and referrals
/p
/li
li
p
Collaborate with the Marketing Team and attending and representing the Hotel at various trade shows, workshops and presentation/training sessions
/p
/li
li
p
Schedule and conduct sales calls, client meetings, virtual presentations, site inspections and educational visits
/p
/li
li
p
Maintain and grow existing accounts in terms of revenue
/p
/li
li
p
Create awareness of the products by way of virtual presentations to potential clients
/p
/li
li
p
Update and manage client profiles on Infor, SCS and Dineplan
/p
/li
li
p
Generate and tailor quotations to client requirements and upsell packages to include all aspects of the business including restaurants, spa and excursions
/p

li
p
Collaborate with Banqueting and Restaurant to ensure the smooth execution of events
/p
/li
li
p
Follow up after events to ensure client satisfaction and encourage repeat business
/p
/li
li
p
Work closely with the General Manager on unit based promotions and initiatives
/p
/li
li
p
Monitor booking trends and suggest promotions and special offers to mitigate 'valley periods'
/p
/li
li
p
Attend and contribute to internal meetings, operational meetings and budget meetings
/p
/li

Develop and maintain good relationships with various internal stakeholders

Host and organize incoming and outgoing educational visits as well as site inspections at the Hotel

Support and assist the Hotel in ad hoc projects
/p
/li
li
p
Liaise with the General Manager of the Hotel on a frequent basis and provide sales support with unit based promotions and initiatives.
