Company Context:
KabuK is a U.S.-based subsidiary of a Japanese hotel group. Their mission is to drive U.S. tourism to Japan through a curated travel concierge service that plans and books trips for American travelers. The U.S. team is small and needs to scale to handle growing demand.
Duties & Responsibilities
Qualify inbound and outbound leads for KabuK's Japan travel concierge services.
Warm up prospects through personalized outreach (email, CRM follow-up, and light calls).
Support initial sales engagement; may handle closing calls for qualified leads.
Maintain CRM data accuracy (lead status, notes, and follow-up schedules).
Collaborate with the concierge and operations teams to ensure lead handoff quality.
Report weekly on lead generation metrics and conversion progress.
Tools / Systems
CRM: Candidate should be familiar with CRM systems (specific platform not confirmed, but flexibility to learn required).
: Used for scheduling client meetings and calls (training provided).
General Sales Stack: Expected to work efficiently with email, calendars, and data-tracking tools.
Client Expectations
Experience: Prior experience in customer service or sales is ideal.
Soft Skills: Professional communication, attention to detail, and cultural sensitivity (especially toward Japan-focused clientele).
Mindset: Coachable and eager to learn; must demonstrate initiative and strong follow-through.
Bonus: Previous travel experience in Japan or familiarity with Japanese culture is a significant plus.
