Job Purpose

The Sales Desk Coordinator is responsible for administrative support to the sales team ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures customer excellence

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customer base.
  • Lives the company's values and service standards with regards to customer interaction.
  • Adheres to business processes and systems to meet the company's quality requirements
  • Takes personal accountability for service excellence.
  • Adheres to the companies work standards.
Information Security
  • Understand their role within the organisation from an information security perspective and commit to protecting the organisation's security information assets.
Finance
  • Ensures Cost savings and efficiencies in area of accountability.
Self- development
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Prepare personal development plans in conjunction with Manager and implement in line with business requirements.
Teamwork
  • Ensures teamwork to achieve shared goals.
Business Development
  • Acts as the front-line contact for the sales team and directs sales processes accordingly.
  • Provides advice and product knowledge to clients advising them on the correct product for their business.
  • Proactively vets all customer leads receive via sales email, telephone and website queries to ensure a full understanding of clients' needs and creates leads on CRM.
  • Escalates relevant leads to marketing department for allocation to relevant Business development consultant.
  • Maintain good conversion rates of all new small leads (1 to 30) by applying effective sales strategies and excellent customer service to clients.
  • Drafts own and assists the sales team with drafting of quotations and proposals.
  • Ensures all quotations and proposals are followed up timeously to close a sale.
Sales administration
  • Act as a link between the customer and the sales team
  • Prepare multiple types of sales documents and produces related reports.
  • Monitor all incoming leads and action accordingly.
  • Track and record activity on leads and help close deals to meet targets.
  • Provide clerical support to sales team, coordinating sales team activities, scheduling client appointments for sales team as per their CRM allocation.
  • Proactively acknowledges customers by responding to emails and phone calls timeously.
  • Handle Day to Day queries
Accurate use of Systems and processes to drive sales initiatives and business development
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered into and maintained in CRM system to ensure valuable customer insights to be used in decision making and sales initiatives.
  • Adhere to sales policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in sales and administration or similar role
  • Previous payroll sales or consulting experience
