Minimum Requirements:
At least 5-7 years' proficiency experience within the Sales function (including activities to drive despatch of stock). The environment is fast paced, highly energetic, customer centric and technically orientated.
Proven proficiency in typing, with a speed on excel of approximately 50 words per minute.
Proficient at being able to conclude deals, diffuse conflict and negotiate.
Use of initiative, strong drive to achieve results with a sense of urgency
Highly attentive to detail and maintains high personal work standards
Display honesty, integrity and can maintain confidentiality
Able to build relationships with Customers and staff at all levels
Excellent planning and organizing skills, with an ability to prioritise
Ability to think creatively, be solution orientated and convert goals into operational achievements and successes
Must have own car and a valid driver's license with at least 5 years' driving experience.
Highly proficient at using the Internet, Email facilities; Excel, Word and powerpoint skills.
Knowledge and experience with sales/marketing and export
Exposure to website/marketing platforms and social media/network
Duties include but are not limited to
Identifying important and viable customers in all sectors and making customer contact: through analyzing the value of quotations and enquiries for lab equipment as well as monthly spend with our Company through research and use of industry contacts and research
Ensuring a significant understanding of our Key Customers' business, their culture, and their critical issues so that we can proactively engage, advise and assist buyers and technicians in every possible way. ("Their worries become your worries")
Uses in-depth product knowledge of all products to sell equipment for material testing to the latest test methods to expand sales and meet targets. This involves keeping abreast with changes in standards and knowledge of local as well as international methods and equipment requirements.
Compiles sales quotes and tenders speedily, accurately and as well arranging timeously delivery, so as to meet deadlines. This includes working with internal staff to check discount/imported product availability, delivery undertakings and technical correctness as well as following up with customers regarding receipt and quote queries etc,
Co-ordinates sales orders with internal departments/sister company so orders can be despatched speedily. This includes utilizing relevant spreadsheets and filing systems to manage the orders process efficiently. i.e Sales responsibility only ends once the customer has their product.
Conducting root cause analysis and creative problem solving to resolve complaints so that customer satisfaction improves and the company's image for quality, speed and reliability is enhanced.
Contributing towards creative improvements in sales related processes and marketing material/communication/social networking platforms
Admin Support: Manage Reports including but not limited to 1. Quotes to ensure 8 hrs turnaround time and 2. Sales Orders against Pastel. Sets up and maintains an efficient filing, record keeping and information retrieval system for the Sales Quotes. This is for both electronic document management on email/dropbox and the server as well as hard copy systems.
Liaising with Purchasing/Stores and Distribution/Moisson Instrumentation for items or repairs and calibrations which may be required urgently or still outstanding, in order to foster an image of excellent customer service.
Assisting with keeping Trademark/Marketing Material/Brochures/Manuals and Website information updated and accessible in electronic format and hard copy. This includes constantly monitoring latest trends; identifying and engaging appropriate social networking media platforms, such as mashable/instagram/facebook and twitter etc for effective marketing contact.
Cost effectively arranging travel in accordance with requirements and regulations for domestic and international travel
Organising, recording, compiling and distributing minutes of meetings and agendas
Organising Functions etc
