Role Description

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and customer-focused Print Shop Assistant / Graphic Design Assistant to join our team.

This is a fast-paced, high-pressure retail printing environment. The successful candidate must be able to think on their feet, work accurately under pressure, and solve every customer's problem professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Assist customers with all printing-related services Take and process ID and passport photos Perform basic graphic design work (layouts, edits, resizing) Sell and upsell design services to customers when needed Operate vinyl cutting machines Assist with T-shirt printing and heat press work Ensure all work is neat, accurate, and high quality Handle customer queries and problems calmly under pressure Find solutions for customers -- problem-solving is essential Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace Work shift hours, including busy periods

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Reside in Stellenbosch, Western Cape Strong computer skills (required) Friendly, professional, and confident with customers Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Excellent attention to detail and neat workmanship Strong problem-solving ability Reliable and trustworthy Willing to take responsibility and ownership of work Willingness to learn new skills and processes

Experience & Qualifications

No formal qualifications or certifications required Inexperienced candidates are welcome Training will be provided, but you must be eager to learn and improve Previous experience in printing, design, retail, or customer service is an advantage but not required

Salary

R28 per hour (entry-level rate, training provided)
