We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic

Sales Assistant

to work at our store in

Paarl Mall, Paarl

on a contract until end April 2026 and help us deliver excellent customer service to pet lovers.

*Assist customers in finding the right products for their cats and dogs.

*Provide knowledgeable advice on pet care, nutrition, and product selection.

*Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.

*Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

*Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with a positive attitude.

*Perform stock-taking duties and ensure accurate inventory counts.

*Place purchase orders and coordinate receiving stock deliveries.

*Perform administrative tasks.

*Daily cash-ups and banking.

*Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to assist customers effectively.

*Inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.

Requirements:

*Passionate about people AND animals and a strong understanding of pet care.

*Previous retail or customer service experience

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Must be a fast learner.

*Excellent problem solver

*Excellent attendance record at previous employers

*Computer skills (Word, Excel, G-mail, Numerical skills)

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

*Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

*Excellent administrative skills and familiarity with inventory systems.

*Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

*Must be able to lift and carry up to 20kg, multiple times per day.

*Matric

*Reliable transport to and from work.

English AND Afrikaans speaking.
Reside in Paarl.
Start date as soon as possible.
*Training will be done in Durbanville or Stellenbosch on some days.

*Estimated paid hours per month are 160 - 195, this is a contract position.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: R37,00 - R41,00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 45 per week
