Job Description

Our chain of wellness stores is looking for a sales assistant. We have one store in the CBD and one in Woodstock. You will be required to work behind the cash register, sell products, answer customer questions, actively engage customers and help drive sales.

Experience in sales, bartending, or vape shops is a strong advantage.

The position requires a one-month probationary period after which the official permanent contract is signed.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner Provide accurate information about products, including seasonal and limited offerings Recommend suitable products based on customer needs and preferences Maintain strong knowledge of the store's wellness range Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and restocking inventory Ensure popular and seasonal items are always available Keep the sales area clean, organized, and visually appealing Follow proper hygiene, waste disposal, and health & safety procedures Process cash and card payments accurately using the POS system Issue receipts and handle payment discrepancies when necessary Communicate effectively with team members during daily operations Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth service Follow all company policies, including age verification requirements Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints professionally Problem solving and conflict resolution in case of appearance
Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail or sales is an advantage Strong communication and people skills Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment Good attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Understanding of basic health and safety standards
