Job Description
Our client seeks the service of an experienced Sales, Procurement, and Logistics Manager to lead and oversee the sales and logistics, customer relations, relationships with farmers, stock management, and logistics management functions of the business
Minimum requirements:
- Formal qualification an advantage
- Previous 5 years experience in sales and procurement, preferably, but not limited to, the abattoir or meat industry
- Customer relations experience
- An understanding of livestock, farming, and working with farmers
- Team leadership experience
- Strong written and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer skills and literacy, working with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- English and Afrikaans advantageous
- Knowledge of the Meat Matrix System will be an advantage
- Must be available after office hours, on weekends, and public holidays
- Must be willing and able to travel
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to a high standard of work
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to plan effectively with operational thoroughness
- Maintaining and communicating weekly planner and daily activities completed and actions to follow up on
