Our client, based in Bellville is seeking a Sales and Business Manager who has visionary thinking and sound commercial judgment, with the ability to make decisive calls under pressure.
You will be building and nurturing high-performing teams, taking full ownership of outcomes, and driving strategic alignment across the business.
REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in sales and/or general management roles within SaaS, custom software, digital transformation, or B2B technology sectors.
  • Relevant degree or diploma.
  • Individual needs to have experience in building a software/solution business.
  • Demonstrated success and experience in scaling a business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with direct experience managing budgets, revenue targets, and teams.
  • Expertise in solution selling, enterprise sales, and building consultative sales strategies.
  • Understanding of South African public and private sector sales cycles.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
  • Experience in bespoke software development, agile methodologies, cloud computing, or related technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and energised by challenge and ownership.
DUTIES
  • Define and execute a winning go-to-market strategy, aligning bespoke software solutions with industry pain points.
  • Partially own the P&L of the business unit with responsibility for revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
  • Partially create and grow the sales and business development teams, ensuring high-performance culture and accountability.
  • Rebuild and implement a high-impact sales strategy (B2B, channel, and strategic accounts).
  • Identify and penetrate new verticals including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and e-commerce.
  • Establish scalable sales processes, CRM discipline, forecasting, and performance metrics. Also ensure disciplined adherence to these processes.
  • Review the current software and solution offering and identify adjacent opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Engage and nurture strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to decision-makers.
  • Work closely with development and technology teams to influence product roadmap based on market insights.
  • Elevate the company's market presence and thought leadership in the bespoke software development, digital transformation, and custom tech solutions space.
  • Represent the company at industry events, panels, and client briefings.
