Job Description


In this role, employees will be required to conduct Telkom promotional initiatives at various locations within the George Area.Sales Agents approach potential customers, conduct professional and enthusiastic sales presentations based on its products and services, at surrounding promotional areas, to attract and increase business within the Telkom channel. Sales Agents greet/welcome customers professionally and with a positive attitude at all times. You are required to perform and adhere to all COVID-19 procedures, both when conducting promotions, and when performing duties within the workplace. Sales Agents will be granted the opportunity to complete Telkom systems training at one of its regional training centres. If the agent completes and passes the training course, they will be granted system access to process applicable deals, in relation to the kiosk/pop-up environment. Promoter Agents will conduct a Telkom needs analysis, recommend a suitable Telkom product or service, to match the customer needs, explain the package benefits and obtain the relevant credit vetting/RICA paperwork, through effective customer service, and selling techniques. All interested customers must provide the relevant RICA/credit vetting documentation, which will need to be assessed by the Agent / Manager, for the detection of possible fraudulent applications/paperwork. If the paperwork is cleared from possible fraud, the Promoter Agent / Manager will process the application for provisional approval. Key Performance Areas: Assist with the achievement of sales targets at indicated kiosk locations. Achieve individual targets as communicated by your line and regional manager. Adhere to xe2x80x9cThe Telkom Wayxe2x80x9d policy to ensure excellent customer service is provided. Maintain enthusiasm and ensure that energy levels are appropriate at all times. Greet and welcome customers when conducting promotions, and when you assigned to process in store. Generating new leads through various selling and promotional activities, and direct customers to stores/kiosks within the Feathercom channel. Promoting Telkom products and services which includes but not limited to: sim only deals, prepaid voice and data, top-up, post-paid voice and data, LTE, smart-voice, DSL, and Fibre packages. Focus on up and cross selling specific Telkom products. Conduct a customer needs analysis to determine the reasons for visiting the store. Providing product information and service recommendations to match customer needs. Advise customers on the documentation needed to apply for products and/or services. Check and verify customer paperwork to detect fraudulent applications. Ensure BVS and V-DOCxe2x80x99s compliance within the store and ensure that discrepancies get resolved. Log cases to the relevant queues, related to any customer queries, suspected fraudulent applications, and any risk that is detected (multiple devices) when conducting the relevant checks. Follow up with customers on application status and queries, along with the Kiosk Manager. Inform clients regarding relevant turn-around times and back office processes Job Type: Full-time
