Sales Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the backbone of our sales operations, responsible for managing the metadata of our print and ebook titles and providing crucial support to our sales teams. This role is perfect for a proactive individual with strong technical and administrative skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Metadata Management:

Collate, manage, and distribute accurate metadata for our print and ebook titles across all platforms and partner sites (e.g., Amazon, Nielsen).

Online Listings:

Maintain and update online book listings, including crafting compelling Amazon descriptions, adding endorsements, and creating engaging A+ content.

Sales Support:

Coordinate with sales teams to prepare for presentations, create professional PowerPoint decks, and promptly respond to ad-hoc sales requests.

Catalogue Production:

Build and proofread our seasonal sales catalogues, ensuring all metadata is accurate for our distribution partners.

Communication:

Serve as a key point of contact by liaising with authors through our Sales & Distribution forum and handling communications with retailers.

Title Lifecycle Management:

Oversee metadata updates for titles that are going out of print or having their rights reverted.

Marketing & Special Projects:

Manage special marketing tasks, including submitting titles for Kirkus reviews and designing Amazon A+ packages to enhance product visibility.

Amazon Operations:

Support the Amazon Print-on-Demand (POD) project to ensure consistent product availability, and issue takedown notices as required.

Commitment:

This is a busy role requiring focus, it is not suitable for working alongside another full-time position

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this role.

Technical Proficiency:

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. You should also be comfortable working with databases and publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP, Nielsen, and other metadata portals.

Organizational Skills:

Strong ability to manage data and complex administrative tasks efficiently.

Attention to Detail:

A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in all aspects of work, especially metadata.

Design & Presentation:

Skills in creating visually appealing presentations and marketing materials (e.g., Amazon A+ content).

Initiative:

A self-starter with excellent follow-through and the ability to work independently.

Time Management:

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a busy environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R15000,00 - R20000,00 per month
