Job Description


Job Objective:

The Account Manager is the person in charge of managing a company's relationships with its customers. They are in charge of developing new market, new customers, building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. The goal is to keep clients or accounts as long as possible. The successful Account Manager will be in charge of finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks may involve project management, strategic planning, sales support, product design, service application, logistics, and marketing in the Smart Pre-Paid Meter Industry.

Key Responsibilities: * Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers

  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor and analyze customer's usage of our product
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships
  • Must know clients in the Northern Cape, Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams
Job Requirements: * Matric
  • BSc Degree: Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
Work Experience:
  • At least 5 years working experience in Account Management and Sales, experience with Energy or water business or Electricity is a MUST!
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account executive
  • Hands on experience in Sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
