Job Summary Roles and Responsibilities
SAIPA Article Clerk - Potchefstroom Area
To start in January 2026
Salary:
- R8 000 - R10 000 per month with Degree + Commission
- Up to R13 000 per month with Honours + Commission
We are looking for ambitious candidates eager to gain practical accounting and tax experience, with excellent growth opportunities and professional advancement.
(CIMA candidates will also be considered - especially those wanting to gain tax experience.)
Minimum requirements:
- Completed Matric and a strong interest in pursuing an accounting career; OR
- 2nd/3rd-year accounting students; OR
- Graduates (Degree/Honours) looking to continue/transfer their articles.
- Capture transactions in accounting records
- Perform reconciliations
- Perform bookkeeping to balance sheet
- Prepare financial statements
- Perform tax calculations and complete tax returns
- Complete VAT submissions and calculations
- Perform general accounting functions
- Using Pastel, Sage One and Draftworx
- Assist managers with various client matters, including administrative work
- Payroll duties
- PAYE calculations and submissions
- CIPC registrations, queries, and submissions
