As a Sales Account Manager for Sage Intacct, you'll play a pivotal role in driving growth by building strong, trusted relationships with customers and business partners. You will identify new opportunities for expansion--whether through additional users, modules, entities, or new product offerings--and help customers realise the full value of Sage Intacct's cloud solutions.
This role blends strategic account management with proactive sales execution. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and channel partners, leveraging Salesforce to manage your pipeline, track progress, and close deals. Your ultimate goal is to exceed sales targets, enhance customer success, and contribute to a growing Net Promoter Score (NPS) by delivering exceptional value and support.
Location - 3 days per week out of our Johannesburg office.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Growth: Proactively engage with customers and partners to uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities across users, modules, entities, and new product lines.
- Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently achieve and surpass your agreed-upon sales quota through disciplined pipeline management and effective sales strategies.
- Sales Execution: Manage and close Sage Intacct opportunities using Salesforce, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.
- Collaborate for Success: Build and maintain strong working relationships with channel partners and internal teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
- Champion Customer Success: Engage regularly with existing customers to ensure optimal product usage, deliver measurable value, and drive improvements in customer satisfaction and NPS.
- Stay Ahead: Maintain expert-level knowledge of Sage Intacct products, industry trends, and competitor offerings to position Sage as the preferred choice in the market.
Skills, know-how and experience:
- Background in Accounting Previous experience working with a business partner network
- Must have own license and own vehicle and must be willing to travel
Preferred Accounting qualification
- Self-starter who can work individually and as part of a team Strong customer focus and high-level customer service ethics and positive approach
- Be bold and able to simplify process and communicate it effectively to customers
- Instill trust with both colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
