Purpose
The Senior software administrator is responsible for the support the E-learning platform for our external facing E-learning services. They assist the internal E-Learning team as it pertains to the system from a technical perspective as well as supporting students. They work with our vendors to ensure that service levels are met and accessible to our students.
Responsibilities
1. E-learning Platform Administration & Management:

  • Administer, and work with the organization's vendor for our e-learning platform (Talent LMS), ensuring its optimal performance, availability, and functionality.
  • Administer, and work with the organization's vendor for our e-learning invigilation tool (Integrity Advocate), ensuring its optimal performance, availability, and functionality.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions for students, instructors, and administrators within the e-learning environment.
  • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and troubleshoot technical issues related to the e-learning platform, including integrations with other systems.
  • Plan and coordinate platform upgrades, patches, and feature enhancements with vendors and internal teams.
2. User Support & Training:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students, faculty, and internal staff on all aspects of the e-learning platform.
  • Diagnose and resolve user-reported issues, including login problems, content access, assignment submissions, and platform navigation.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for various user groups to enhance their proficiency with the e-learning platform.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and resolutions for self-service support.
3. Backup & Cross-functional Support (Dynamics 365):
  • Act as a primary backup for the Dynamics 365 Support Engineer, providing first-line support for Dynamics 365 CRM and F&O related incidents and service requests when the primary engineer is unavailable or there is a larger amount of work that the Dynamics 365 Support engineer cannot complete on their own
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting, user account management, and data inquiries within Dynamics 365 as needed.
  • Work with vendors on issues that have been escalated or enhancements that are needed
  • Work with Dynamics support engineer to ensure that support levels are maintained and we provide excellent service to our customers
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
  • IT, Microsoft 365, Networking and Security, or Cloud Services Certificates
Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Fluency in at least one additional South African official language
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently fulfilling a variety of duties
  • Ability to manage a high workload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Must be eager to learn and develop as this position is backup to our Dynamics 365 Support Engineer
  • Work well with vendors
  • Teamwork as you will be working with our business e-learning support team as well as IT support teams
Experience:
  • 0 - 2 years Customer Service or Customer Support related experience (Essential)
  • Basic Dynamics 365 support experience (Advantageous)
