We are seeking a qualified and dedicated
Safety Officer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on ourroad maintenance and road construction projects
, promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.Key Requirements:
Education:
National Diploma inSafety Management
orEnvironmental Health
Registration:
Valid and currentSACPCMP registration
(Occupational Health & Safety)Experience:
Minimum3 years' proven experience
as a Safety Officer onroad maintenance or road construction projects
In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and relevant construction regulations Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing skillsKey Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain site-specific health and safety plans Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff and contractors Monitor and report on safety performance and recommend improvements
